Expand High-Quality Choices for Families

PA students deserve to be at the head of the pack. Expanding High-Quality Choices for Families outlines our recommendations in three key areas to improve the Charter School Law.

First, we must empower qualified entities other than local school boards to authorize charter schools.

Next, we must hold these entities accountable for the performance of charter schools they authorize, and develop a performance-based framework by which to evaluate each charter school’s quality.

And finally, we should give charter school educators and students equitable access to funding, facilities and other resources.
