I joined PennCAN’s board because they believe, as I do, that zip code does not have to define the life outcomes of our students. As CEO and Founder of KIPP Philadelphia Schools, my team and I are committed to putting all of our KIPPsters on a path toward happy and independent lives. However, our network of schools is just one piece of the larger effort necessary to sustaining long-term education reform across Pennsylvania. PennCAN is critical to this by driving forward important education policy changes that will ensure all children receive an excellent education across the Keystone State.
